for his use Chui brought from his quarters in Bisney Villas
this newer German automatic in Court (produced).
That brings me finally to the night of the murder. On
the 24th about 7.30 pera. Chui hingelf reached number 17 about
7 o'clock. He found (as he says) Iau alone in the cubicle. He walked by han Kwong Road to its junction with Village Road. On his way he saw ong and Ah Kwan (the new member of the gang)
trolling to and fro in front of number 14 in Village road itself, east of the junction. He saw someone whom he took to be Ah To (although Ah To will deny he was ever there). He then
walked down again to the bottom and at the fray Office stop which is just opposite 17 he telephoned for a ublic car. One
arrived.
The driver of that car will be called to give evidence. In that car he (Chui) nroceeded up Shan Kwong Rood to its junction with Village Road and there he turned the car at the West side of the road and remained in it waiting. He will say he was there joined by Ah Kwan and Ah To who stood by the car while
he sat with the chauffeur.
Not long after he saw the girl and Fung came out of the house and go towards the Race Course. Kwan and Tong immediately followed. We himself, after a chort interval, directed his
driver to follow slowly down the road in the wake of the others.
He will my that when the couple reached the junction of Shan
Kwong Road and Yick Ya Street he saw ong overtake them. He heard the bang and saw the flash of the gun. fle did not see what happened to any of the parties thereafter.
directionr the car driver accelerated somewhat and drove past Yick Yam Street and turned opposite the Teung Fo Nursing Hone and drove up again. He could still see nothing to indicate what had happened to Fung and the girl but he drove straight on up, turned by the junction of Village Road and then down Shing to Road to the bottom. At the bottom, where Shing Vo Road joins the framlines
